Do your interior doors come with a guarantee?

Yes, all of our interior doors come with a guarantee against manufacturing defects.

  • 10 years – moulded/flush doors
  • 5 years – white oak and primed timber feature doors

JELD-WEN will accept no responsibility for products cut down to size after receipt (over the trimming guidelines stated below), for which use or structural strength is impaired following improper fitting. See our information on trimming allowances here.

How do I fit an interior door?

Generally someone who is competent in DIY would be able to fit one of our interior doors, however, if you are unsure we would always advise asking a trained professional to do it for you. It’s a skilled trade and there are qualified people who can make sure your doors are perfectly hung.

If you feel like you are competent enough to hang the door yourself, then we have some handy guides that will help you every step of the way. Ensure you follow the fitting instructions provided with your doors to avoid invalidating your warranty.

Regular maintenance of timber products is essential if you are to retain a beautiful finish and prolong their use. If you care for your doors, windows and stairs they will last a lifetime.

The periods you leave between maintenance checks will vary depending on the type of pain of stain chosen and the local enviornmental conditions.

Unlike external woodwork, your internal doors do not require any ongoing maintenance, other than the occasional repaint to brighten up the finish or change the style of your room.
