FAQ

What is a fire doorset?

Fire doors are an important line of defence against the spread of fire and help to reduce physical damage to a building. Despite fire doors being required in commercial buildings, as well as certain domestic applications, a 2021 survey by Fire Door Inspection Scheme found that three-quarters of fire doors inspected did not meet the required standards, with a quarter of those failing due to poor installation.

JELD-WEN fire rated doorsets are a convenient way to ensure that your building’s fire doors comply with current fire door regulations as they are delivered in a complete unit so all that is needed is for the unit to be fixed into place in line with the fitting instructions and appropriate hardware. They are manufactured under the Certifire third party certification scheme meaning they have full traceability and have been independently tested to ensure that they offer the protection stated on the fire label – for complete peace of mind.

So, what goes into a Certifire certified JELD-WEN fire doorset? Find out below.
